The Net 16x9

The Net

The Net is a movement of young people who dream big dreams and live big lives!

Made up of 11-16 year-olds, the Net runs on Sunday mornings during our services in Burgess Hill with social meetings arranged on Wednesday evenings usually once or twice a month.

Our practical life-lessons help young people feel challenged and encouraged. We ask big questions and look to a big God for the answers.

Come along! Socialise, learn, grow, develop and reach your potential!

CC Life Groups

Life Groups

Life groups are the heartbeat of the church. They provide wonderful times of sharing and growing in God’s Word; discovering truths that we can apply directly to our every day lives.

Inspiring topics are covered during the course of the year, which challenge us to discover for ourselves who God really is. Life groups are held alternating Thursday evenings in the homes of various life group leaders.

alpha

Alpha

Alpha is for everyone who’s got questions about life. Got questions? #TryAlpha

No question is off limits and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you like. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.

Alpha lasts for around 8 weeks, looking at topics including ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’. At Alpha we meet for dinner and each talk is followed by discussion in small groups. Sign up by clicking below.

Night Shelter

The Night Shelter began in Brighton & Hove in February 2012 to provide meals and accommodation 7 nights a week for those sleeping rough in our city. It is a privilege for Centre Church to be a part of this initiative. This past year, together with 6 other churches across the city, we ran the programme from December 2016 – February 2017.

This year’s Night Shelter has now concluded, however we will open again in November 2017. As a church, we host dinner and lodging for up to 15 men and women in Brighton on Sunday nights, as well as breakfast the following morning.

We always require people with a willingness to serve in any capacity, i.e., catering, setting up, befriending, cleaning up in the morning, and volunteers willing to stay awake overnight. Just call the church or fill in the form below if you would like to get involved.

HOPE

HOPE

HOPE stands for ‘Honouring Older People Events’. At Centre Church, we recognise that there are many older people in and around the Brighton area who would like to connect with church, but are unable to do so regularly on a Sunday.

HOPE is a monthly outreach meeting for older people in our community. The event currently runs at Patching Lodge in Kemptown with songs, befriending, an inspirational message, and some refreshments. Check out our calendar to find out when the next HOPE event is happening.

Week of Prayer

We recognise that praying can be hard and that sometimes you just can’t find the time. Well, here at Centre Church, we’re running an intense week of prayer which you can get involved with. It may require some sacrifice, you may have to put something down just for a week, but be assured that God will transform you over the course of the week!

We run a number of these weeks over the course of a year (usually about one-per-term). Don’t forget to check out the calendar to find out when the latest week of prayer is happening.
